Everyday Life

This book is useful for everyday language. It is an excellent tool for word association and vocabulary building.

The only criticism is the lack of accent marks for the Russian words. This is important enough to keep it from 5 stars. For a student to use this to learn Russian with a reasonable accent is problematic.

The strong point is the word/picture association by themes.

I recommend this book for teachers and students.

In all the nutrition texts I've read, which have been several in both my undergraduate, graduate degrees and other college certification programs this text is by far the worst. It is incredibly biased and uses studies that other researchers have called into question regarding their validity. It appears as if the authors already had their minds made up in terms of what they believed and then chose studies to help them back up their opinions instead of presenting data and research in an unbiased way. Bias in one chapter can make a reader question everything else stated. If you are looking for a text to use in your classes, keep looking.

Gerry Stergiopoulos grew up in Greece but finished his studies at Edinburgh University where he took three degrees in History of Art, Classical Archaeology and History. Before coming to the public's attention on Channel 4's Big Brother, he worked at Sotheby's and as a curator in an auction house. When he is not hard at work on his PhD on Bronze Age art, he is usually to be found comforting and counselling countless girlfriends, flatmates and women he meets on the train home to Balham.

Great book! Very informative.
Gerry has a lovely, I would say brainy sense of humour and he is very smart.
I love the fact that he has a list of recommended books he has used for his research at the back. He also mentions the methods he suggests are tested by him and his friends.
I have bought a lot of dating books over the years and even though there is not a lot of new information ,his perspective is very fresh and some of the methods he suggests are very effective.
