Wonderful

A very fine graphic novel. I thought it would be okay for my son (nearly 5) to get into The Hobbit, but it's a little above him at the moment. A lot of text but the illustrations are dense and well done.

Spot on

I have the complete graphic novel and I'm not sure why it is not listed on Amazon. In any case, despite all of the other interpretations and illustrations (including the upcoming film) this remains the imagery that I most envision when I read The Hobbit. It is, I think, close to the way Tolkien imagined his world and it appears more "historically" accurate, as the character designs seem to be drawn from medieval art.

This was THE best book to read for child loss

I lost my son one year ago, and it has been a lonely journey. Clara has written with such an understanding of the pain and loss of losing a child, you feel you are not alone in this. She writes with the understanding of brokenness, yet provides such hope in her chapters. This was THE best book to read for child loss, I have read more than several, and I have read this twice already and referenced chapters numerous times.

As a mother mourning my son's tragic death I often feel alone and without hope in this pain.
